Our Accreditation
Light of the World School of Ministry is fully accredited by the Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries (AICCS).
Accreditation was granted lowing institutional self-study, external evaluation, and formal action by the AICCS Commission on Accreditation. The school remains in good standing and continues to meet its annual reporting and institutional review obligations to the Association.
ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
AICCS is an independent non-profit corporation chartered as an accrediting agency for Bible colleges, seminaries, and specialized institutions of Christian higher education. Its standard are organized around three pillars: academic credibility, ethical standards, and financial integrity.
The accreditation process requires an institution to conduct a comprehensive self-study measuring its practices against published AICCS standards, submit to review by trained evaluators, and receive formal action from the Commission on Accreditation. Accredited institutions submit mandatory annual reports and undergo a more comprehensive institutional review every three years. Accreditation is not a one-time award. It is a standing that must be maintained.
Kentucky Standing
Light of the World School of Ministry has a religious exemption from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education to operate or solicit in Kentucky.
The School appears on the Council's published roster of in-state religious institutions exempt from licensure, and its exemption is renewed annually.
What This Means for Students
Accreditation is not a marketing term. For you, it means three specific things:
Your curriculum has been examined.
Course content, program length, and academic requirements were reviewed against external standards - not set solely by internal preference.
Your faculty are credentialed.
Faculty qualifications are reported annually to the Association and are subject to review.
Your credential has a record behind it.
Your enrollment, coursework, and conferred degree are documented within an institution whose standing can be independently verified by any pastor, board, presbytery, or ministry organization that asks.
